Holiday 2013 Recap

Whew! Can you say T I R E D!! Okay I am trying to figure out what happen to the Christmas Holiday?!?! We do all of that preparing and then ZAP it is all over with just like that. I am still trying to catch my breath from ALL of the holiday festivities. Don’t mean to sound like a broken record but this Holiday Season has been a TRUE blessing! For me has absolutely nothing to do with all the glitz and glam...Don’t get me wrong it is a good thing to have but for me it was about “Good Health”. And just because I am in “Good Health” I did bring my “Holiday Style”. Pic'sà (click here)

The older I get little things in my life create instant surges of happiness. I find myself smiling instantly because my mind begins to replay the last few years. I am grateful for everything that I have and what is to come! God allowed me to take a sneak peak at 2014 and let’s just say I am EXCITIED. I already got an unexpected miracle that messed my head up but…Why should I be surprise that is how God works!

Christmas morning I had the pleasure of serving dinners to the less fortune courtesy of Faith Pentecostal Holiness Deliverance Center. I was gathered by a host of great young women from my church which included the pastor wife and the senior mother of the church. Having done a substantial amount of humanitarian work in the past, this year was really special for me and I am appreciative of the experience. Serving Christmas dinners has been a part of FPHDC history for years and I am proud to have been a part of history.

Later that day the “Barnes & Oliver” Family had dinner together. We agreed that it would be nice to go out this year just as we did for Thanksgiving. It was pleasure to be able to sit down in one place and eat without the women in the family being overly irritated because of slaving over a hot stove. LOL… It was nice for a change. No one could complain because we were able to enjoy each other in peace and harmony. J

Peace and Blessings to You!

Holiday Style & Gratitude

Merry Christmas EVERYONE!!!
My favorite time of year and I am SUPA excited…
This year is so special for me…Plain and simple I am in good health and absolutely PAIN FREE. I am so grateful to God! WHOOO HOOO… These last few years have been a REAL challenge. More like a night-mare.  Of course, I would love to have a custom made Harry Winston and a 1930’s vintage Louis Vuitton trunk sitting under the Christmas tree but at the end of the day if you are not in good health it means nothing. I am a true Girly Girl indeed! It is a blessing to be able to wake up and not have to reach for pain medicine. The greatest gift that I received this year has been “Great” health! Of course, there is a story behind that and I promise to share it soon!

Whatever your reason is for celebrating do it with style and of course gratitude. Holiday Style is what I call it! Don’t let an event pass you by and not bring your style game! Pull out your best Ladies and Gentlemen and celebrate. Enjoy the looks from “TricaB Closet”!

Peace and Blessings!

Continuous Thanks!

Happy December! Hope your “Thanksgiving” brought much joy and PLENTY of food. Now that Thanksgiving is over, Do you still have a “Continuous Thanks” in your heart?

This post is dedicated to mi familia! These last few years have been challenging so we decided this year that we would skip all of the hoopla and just enjoy each other. This was the first year that we have gone out for “Thanksgiving Dinner”. It has always been a tradition since I was a little girl to go to “Grandma House” and eat until we pass out!  Let just say “Change is Good”! This change brought me great peace and appreciation!

It might come as a surprise but for me it was not about WHAT I was eating but about the GREAT family I was born into. I did not want to be ignorant of the fact that I come from a rich blood line of humanitarians, preachers, “world changers”, musicians’, and philanthropist, but most all men and women that absolutely love God! (And they actually live it) They are not perfect but they sincerely love God!
That deserves a “Continuous Thanks”.

It is true, family may & will work on your LAST NERVE and might not agree BUT it’s the love from God that keeps us LOVING each other. I have noticed the little things in my life that make my heart smile. So Ladies and Gentlemen keep your hearts and souls on “Continuous Thanks”… Trust me it is SOO worth it!
